WHEN CAN I EROLL IN MEDICARE? Most people enroll during their Initial Enrollment Period, which starts three months before the month you turn 65 and ends three months after. There are also special enrollment periods if you’re leaving employer coverage or experience certain life changes.
DO I NEED MEDICARE IF I'M STILL WORKING? It depends on your employer coverage. Some people can delay Medicare without penalties, while others benefit from enrolling. We can help you understand what makes the most sense for your situation.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT PARTS OF MEDICARE? Medicare has four parts: Part A covers hospital care Part B covers medical services Part C (Medicare Advantage) bundles coverage through private plans Part D covers prescription drugs
WHAT IS MEDICARE ADVANTAGE? Medicare Advantage is an all-in-one alternative to Original Medicare offered by private insurers. These plans often include additional benefits like dental, vision, and prescription coverage.
HOW MUCH DOES MEDICARE COST? Costs vary depending on the coverage you choose. While some parts of Medicare are premium-free, others have monthly premiums, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs. We help you compare options so there are no surprises
DO I HAVE TO CHANGE DOCTORS WHEN I ENROLL IN MEDICARE? Not always. With Original Medicare, you can typically see any doctor that accepts Medicare. Some Medicare Advantage plans have networks, so we’ll help you check if your doctors are included.
DO MEDICARE PLANS COVER DENTAL, VISION, AND HEARING? Original Medicare generally does not cover these services. Many Medicare Advantage plans offer additional benefits like dental, vision, and hearing coverage.
IS THE CHEAPEST PLAN ALWAYS THE BEST OPTION? Not necessarily. The right plan depends on your healthcare needs, doctors, prescriptions, and long-term costs — not just the monthly premium.
CAN I CHANGE MY MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLAN? Yes. You can make changes during the Annual Enrollment Period (typically October 15 to December 7) or during certain special enrollment periods.
CAN I SWITCH PLANS IF I DON’T LIKE MY CURRENT ONE? In many cases, yes — especially during enrollment periods. We can walk you through your options and timing so you can make a change if needed.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY HEALTH NEEDS CHANGE LATER? Your coverage can be adjusted over time. We’re here to help you review your plan regularly and make updates if your needs change.
WHAT IF I TRAVEL OR LIVE IN MORE THAN ONE STATE? Some plans offer broader flexibility than others. Original Medicare is accepted nationwide, while some Advantage plans are more region-based. We’ll help you choose what fits your lifestyle.
IS THERE A PENALTY FOR ENROLLING LATE? In some cases, yes. Delaying enrollment without qualifying coverage may result in penalties. We’ll help you understand your timeline so you can avoid unnecessary costs.
